How big does my garden need to be?
You need about 3ft of space both sides of the castles and 5ft for the blower at the back and 5ft at the front for the step.

How is the unit powered?
All that is required is a standard 13amp socket within 30m of the castle area. Running the blower costs just under 10p per hour. The blower can be switched off if not in use for any period of time and the castle will collapse. Please ensure children are at a safe distance from the castle at this time as it deflates very quickly. When you are ready to use the castle again just switch on at the power. Please, again, ensure no children are near the castle at this time.

Do you charge for delivery?
Delivery is free in and around the outskirts of Lincoln, but unfortunately the further out we go we will have to charge extra for mileage. Please call or email for a quote.

Where do you deliver to?
Basically anywhere in Lincolnshire and beyond. Just ask for a quote.

How long can I have an inflatable for?
We hire castles at any time during the day. We work around our customers' needs where possibl. If you have a specific time of an event/hall booking the castle will delivered in advance so it is ready. On delivery we will confirm a suitable collection time for you. Prices remain the same whether it be for one hour or one day and we do not hire overnight. If the inflatable is required for two days, we will need to collect it and return it the next day.

What happens if it rains?
If, on the day of your event, the weather is bad due to wind or rain we will not erect the castle due to safety reasons. The order will be cancelled or postponed for another day. If the weather is borderline we will contact you to ask what your wishes are, but if we deliver the inflatable and in rains, payment will not be refunded.

What if it rains once the inflatable is erected?
Ensure children are at a safe distance from the castle then switch off the electricity supply at the wall, the inflatable will collapse. We ask you to use a raincover provided which will keep the castle and the blower dry. If the rain stops and you wish to erect the castle, again ensure children are at a safe distance and switch back on at the electricity supply. Wipe down the castle with a towel as it could be slippery.

How much notice do I need to hire an inflatable?
The sooner you book the better to avoid disappointment. Also feel free to contact us on the day of your event as we may have availability.

What happens when I book?
If required, we can come and inspect your garden and take measurements, a time and date will be made. No deposit is required. I will request you read the Terms and Conditions to make yourself familiar with the safety issues, then on the day I will ask you to sign a copy of these.

What preparations should I make before taking delivery of the inflatable?
Please ensure that any paths leading to the area where the inflatable is to be erected are clear and that the proposed site is free from obstacles, stones, sharp objects, dog mess etc, and is not excessively muddy. If there are any overhanging trees or bushes encroaching on the proposed site, these will need to be pruned back prior to our arrival. Barbeques must not be sited near the inflatable. We will unfortunately have to refuse bookings for sites that are unsafe/unsuitable.

How do I pay?
Full payment in cash will be taken at the time of delivery. If paying by cheque this will need to be paid one week before the hiring date to ensure clearance.

What happens if I need to cancel for any reason?
We understand that the weather, illness or other reasons can cause an event to be cancelled. Let us know as soon as possible, there will be no charges. Informing us quickly enables us to re-book the unit to another hirer.

Does Sillybillies carry Public Liability Insurance?
Yes, £5m, but it is important that the person hiring appreciates what this means. Public Liability Insurance covers the hirer (customer) against damage or injury caused by inappropriate or unsafe set-up, or faulty equipment. It DOES NOT protect against damage or injury caused through either negligent use of the equipment, altering any aspect of the set-up, or through normal use where accidents may occur. Adults are required to supervise the inflatable at all times to make sure the safety instructions are adhered to.

What do I do if an accident happens?
Sillybillies will provide a first aid kit plus an accident book. Hopefully your event will run without any problems but accidents do happen such as bumped heads, grazed knees etc. These will all need to be recorded.

Do you hire adult bouncy castles?
We have a 15ft x 15ft inflatable which is suitable for children and adults. The Mega Slide and Party Time inflatables are for children under the age of 12 years only. Please note that adults MUST NOT use the children's inflatables as they are made from much thinner material. Any damage caused must be paid for by the customer. The ball pond is strictly for under-3s only.
